At the tender age of 17, Ana was whisked away from Brazil by Birgit Keil and Vladimir Klos to join the performing arts program at the Akademie des Tanzes at The University of Mannheim, Germany. She went from apprentice to soloist in the space of year at The Meininger Staatstheater in Meiningen, Germany. In 2003, Ana was offered a contract at the legendary Stuttgart Ballet company and her resume includes works by John Cranko, Bigonzetti, Balanchine, Van Manen, Glenn Tetley, Forsyth, Marco Goecke, Neumeyer, to name a few. A year after joining Les Ballets de Montecarlo, in the Principality of Monaco she quit ballet, moved to New York City, and followed a career as a filmmaker, producer, and journalist. Ana can still be seen dancing on episodic TV, film and commercial film.
